Texture for Artworks

This week students are creating texture artworks. They are designing everything from collages, to Panda lines, and texturized floral still life watercolor paintings.

Colors for 2016

This week is all about colors and the 5 main color schemes - primary, secondary, warm, cool, and neutral. Students enjoyed creating various color-based projects such as a 1-point perspective pumpkin farm, "stained glass windows," pointillism trees, and "Blue Dog."

  

Sept. 2016 Masterpieces of the Month

2 students stood out this month. The first  is Colin, 2nd grader here at Central. He created a"Shape Collage" including a cool car design.  The next student is 5th grader, Darin, who did a very detailed "Shape Still Life Drawing."  Congrats to both of our Masterpiece of the Month winners!!

  

School-wide Shapes

This week students in every grade spent their time learning about geometric shapes (2D - height and width only) versus forms (3D - height, width, and DEPTH). Just take a look at these pics to see how much the students enjoyed making shape collages, designing geckos, and creating a "Snowy Day" collage.
