Gourd Festival 2012

 How would you like to be a "gourd" for a day?? These Central students were the "Pick of the Patch!!"  They enjoyed a day of producing gourd art with various organic materials from mother nature.  What fun!!! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Playing rhythms!

Today 3rd graders got to perform their own made-up rhythms during music class and then play them on the steel drum.  Such fun!!!!!                                                                                                                            

 

 

 

 

 

 

Responding to DRAMA!!

 This week, every grade level is watching a movie excerpt from recent kids' movies and are then choosing their favorite character and designing makeup for him/her. I've had some really wonderful makeup designs completed!!!

STEADY BEAT!!

 Here is 2nd grade learning all about keeping steady beat by playing it on their knees with bean bags. Whoopie!!!

5th grade Salsa Dancing!!

Look at them go!!  This is a group of my 5th graders dancing  Salsa to Gloria Estefan.  These are our future "So You Think You Can Dance?" contestants!!!!  Just remember....they learned it here (at Central) first!!!
